Amsterdam is the capital and the largest city of Netherlands, its financial and cultural center as well as one of the Europe's popular tourist destination. If you are planning a trip to Europe - it's a great idea to visit Amsterdam as there are a lot to discover and places to see. Amsterdam's extensive canal network that runs through the city is the most famous sight. You can take a boat tour and see the city center with its old but beautifully decorated buildings and hundreds of small bridges. Public transportation system is excellent, driving a car is discouraged, especially in city centre, so you'll see a lot of bicycles and bike lines. Other popular tourist attractions are museums, churches, concert halls, open-air markets, cafes, and bars. Climate is pleasant overall, although it's good idea to keep umbrella handy.
